Biography: Julia Cole is a MBACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) Senior Accredited therapist specialising in couple and relationship therapy and psychosexual therapy, with 27 years' experience of counselling couples and individuals. She has worked for RELATE - as a counsellor, psychosexual therapist, supervisor and national media officer; as a counsellor for the NHS; as a therapist for the London Haven (a centre for women with breast cancer); and is currently employed full time as a therapist for the Royal Navy and has a small private practice. Julia is a trained practitioner in EMDR (an NHS approved treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and a Licensed Practitioner for 'Understanding Your Eating', a treatment programme for eating disorders.

She is a freelance writer and author, having written for most national newspapers and magazines. She has been 'agony aunt' for several national magazines, including The Express and Essentials. She is also the author of several books on relationships and sexuality, and is currently working on a new title, THE FOUR PHASES OF LOVE.
