Biography: Letitia Jarrett is a British-Jamaican writer born in July 1993. In 2022, her novel-in-progress won the ‘Owned Voices Novel Award’, with judges describing the book as ‘vibrant and vivid… an absolute joy to read’.

Letitia is constantly thinking about food, and her love of eating is a key theme in her work, alongside community, connection, and culture. Her short stories often focus on these topics, and can be found in Bad Form Review and Potluck Zine. She has also contributed a personal essay to the food writer Bre Graham’s ‘Just to Delight’ newsletter. In addition, Letitia is a shameless theatre kid, and her West End reviews have featured on the Official Theatre blog.

In 2015, she graduated from University of the Arts, London with a degree in Fashion Photography. Although this background doesn’t always result in the best outfit choices, it does give her enough knowledge to be a regular writer and co-editor for an alt-fashion zine, Big Pink Pages.
