Avon signs three more books with ‘Queen Of Feelgood Novels’ Sue Moorcroft

Avon Books (HarperCollins) has bought three more novels from award-winning romance novelist Sue Moorcroft. Helen Huthwaite, Publisher at Avon, struck the deal for World English Language rights with Juliet Pickering at Blake Friedmann Literary Agency. The new contract will take Sue’s publishing up until the end of 2024, covering three seasonal romances: two Christmas novels, and one for Summer.

AVON ACQUIRES THREE MORE BOOKS FROM BESTSELLING AUTHOR SUE MOORCROFT

Helen Huthwaite, Publishing Director of Avon Books, has acquired WEL rights for three new novels by bestselling author Sue Moorcroft from Juliet Pickering.

AVON SCOOPS TWO NOVELS FROM EMMA COWELL

Avon Books has acquired two novels from Emma Cowell, including her heart-warming debut, ONE LAST LETTER FROM GREECE. Editor Lucy Frederick won world English language rights from Kate Burke of Blake Friedmann at auction. ONE LAST LETTER FROM GREECE is to be published in May 2022.

About the author:

Emma lives in Cornwall with her husband, Tony, and their fur baby, a Russian Blue called Papoushka Gerald Cowell. A former actress and BBC presenter Emma has worked in the fundraising division of children’s palliative care for the last decade and is currently Head of Philanthropy for national charity Together for Short Lives. Segueing from being paid to talk for a living into writing was a natural progression, since story telling has been at the heart of her career to date. Avon Books acquires three more books by Sue Moorcroft

Avon Books, a division of HarperCollins, has re-signed author Sue Moorcroft in a new three-book deal.

Publishing director Helen Huthwaite acquired world English language rights from Juliet Pickering at Blake Friedmann Agency.

Moorcroft is a Sunday Times bestselling author of contemporary fiction and reached the number one spot on Amazon Kindle UK with THE CHRISTMAS PROMISE. She also wrote A SUMMER TO REMEMBER, which won the Goldsboro Books Contemporary Romantic Novel Award 2020.

Phoebe Morgan, editorial director at Avon, said: “Sue has gone from strength to strength at Avon, becoming a Kindle #1 bestseller, a Sunday Times bestseller and a much-loved author with a rapidly growing readership. We couldn’t be prouder and I can’t wait to see what she does next!”
